King James md Bestigouche will not be ready for the opening. ut Uildreth expects to get both to the post before he new year commences. Hlldreth will probably emaiu here until wet weather comes, then go to -ianta Anita and return here when the winter rains re over. His stable will consist of forty-five head, ncluding four yearlings- Among the latter are a ialf-brother to Uncle and a half-brother to Bowllr.g 3rook. Jockev Koenier aud an apprentice will do nost.of the stable riding. - .Hlldreth expects to race ill of his good horses in California this winter, on iccount of the turf uncertainty in the east. Jockey Shilling will ride T. II. Williams horses :n the early days of the Oakland meeting. Hlldreth figures that his stable on the coast rcpiv-ents an investment of about 75,000. F. A. . Forsythe will ship thirteen two and three ear-olds and seventeen yearlings here. Charles Bowman will ship live horses here at 1L lose of the Hamilton meeting. A half-brother to Orniondale is among the year lugs that W. OB. Macdonough will ship here within i- few davs. Several of John Millins yearlings .vorked eighths in BJ seconds at the first asking coday. II. T. Grifliu will bring thirty yearlings to Cali fornia from New York. S. A. Clopton. who camo ner from Butte, re-shipped to Santa Anita.
