Harriet Kowe. much favored by the going, sprinted into a long lead at once and won all the way unextended. Olive Ely was always prominent, held on well and outstayed Pink Linen through the last quarter. Tho latter closed a gap and finished gamely. Plume, away slowly and suffering from interference, ran well, but tired in the last few strides. Zarape ran well to the stretch, but quit in the last quarter. Merry Gift ran fairly well for a quarter only. Miss Crittenden was never prontlnent. Hawksllight ran a bad race. The winner was entered for $."00; no bid. Won driving: second and third the same. Dr. Holzberg, much the best, was away fast and ran in close pursuit of Buttons, but was taken wide into the stretch and barely got up in the last stride. Buttons, away well, took the lead and set a fast pace and only succumbed in the final stride of a game finish. Dispute had no mishaps. Mrs. Sewall ran fairly well. Mique OBrien closed a big gap in the last quarter from a slow beginning. Ray H. tired badly after going a half. The winner was entered for : no bid.
