DOE, ANTE IN SUPERB FORM. MAKES HIS OPPONENTS APPEAR COMMON IN OAKLANDS MAIN RACE OF THE DAY. Jockey McCarthy Again Guides Three Winners and Goes to Santa Anita Anna May Again Pajaroita Wins. p San Francisco. Cal., December .T. The Forsytlie rider came back with a win on Dorante, a heavily hacked even money favorite in the fourth race. Dorante was urged on the backstretch. where he closed an immense gap with Mich incredible rapidity that exclamations of wonder tilled the grandstand. That Dorante. after being all but eliminated at the start by fouling, could respond so in the middle running and survive, created as-tonisbmeht. .Some lig winnings were recorded on the race and the Ellison commission was said to have been a big one. He withdrew Royal Tourist at 114 iKMinds, preferring to bet on a certainty instead of entrusting his own horse to jockey J. Butler, in whom he professes to have no conlidence.
