Ragman, from a slow beginning, moved up with a rush and finished gamely. Uncle Jimmie Gray was in forward pursuit of the winner for the first live furlongs, but tired imder his heavy weight in the stretch and barely lasted long enough to hold third place. Casque, away in a tangle, was forced to go wide most of the trip and closed a big gap. Loyal Maid ran fairly well. The others were outpaced. The winner was entered for ; no bid. Metzle had a rough trin for the first three furlongs and, closjug a big. gup, was going fastest at the end. Omicron was away slowly and suffered from interference, but ran n good race. Bonnie Bee showed the most early speed, but ran out on the stretch turn. Fearnaught II. was knocked back soon aftpr the start. Judge Walton had to go wide all the way and can do better. Meadow was close up for the entire trip and outgamed Vox Populi in the last few strides. The latter was under restraint for three-quarters, but tired in the last furlong. Graiila had no mishaps. Creel went well for three-quarters, but tired badly in the stretch and bad to be hard ridden near the end to hold third place. Malediction ran a good race for him and would have been third in a few more strides. Ceremonius dropped back after going a half. Colonel Zeb made a fast move after going a half, but ran out In the stretch. Reldmoore was forced back at the half and could never recover. The winner was entered for ,000; no bid.
