BEVERWYCK STABLES 1910 MATERIAL New York December 31 David Woodford has not taken Frank Nolans horses to Saratoga Sir John Johnson Quaiitico and the yearlings Mr Nolan pur ¬ chased at the Sheopshead Hay sales last summer are at Gravesend at the stable on the boulevard which was occupied for several seasons by Frank Taylor when lie trained Charles Edward Don En ¬ rique and Nealon for William Dubois DuboisIt It is obviouslv the intention of Mr Nolan to begin early in 1110 and race right through the year Woodford probably will get Sir John Johnson and his other charges ready for racing at Pimlico PimlicoThe The handsomest yearling in the Woodford string is a son of Kingston and Stylitene Mr Nolan purchased from Mrs James E Pepper last June The roan colt was a bit fat when he was led into the sales ring and some of the good judges of year ¬ lings condemned him They prophesied that his legs would never prove strong enough to sustain his bulk Mr Nolan thought differently and got the colt at alMiut i tbird of his value The roan has lined down handsomely under the handling of Woodford and he Is today one of the smartestlooking yearlings here ¬ abouts This colt is a brother to Kings Courier the son of Kingston that won the Nursery and White Plains Handicaps of 18KI and then went to England and achieved distinction in the colors of John A Drake Kings Courier ran some wonderfully sood races under big weight in Great Britain the year Disguise jihd Diamond Jubilee were threeyearolds Mr Nolans yearling lias not been entered in the early stakes vtJOlO because the young Albany sportsman does not fynt to hurry him Mr Nolan is well Jinownthronghout the upper part of the state espe ¬ cially at Saratoga where his father raced the lley rwyek Stable when he was a babe in arms It is his desire that the Kingston Stylitene colt shall be at his best when the Saratoga meeting begins and unless something serious happens to Woodfords horses the robust roan will carry the popular ISever wyck colors in the coming Saratoga Special
