FLORIDA GETS VELLBRED MARE Dona II winner of a breeders purse at Jackson ¬ ville recently the conditions of which call for the victor to become the property of the Florida Breed ¬ ers Association is a chestnut mare foaled in 1005 and is by the Englishbred stallion Ormicant a son of Orme and out of Challie Howard by Macduff Dona II won for her breeder Ed Corrigan as a twoyearold In 1007 and her dam also produced the winners Prestige and Chalico If put in tin stud in the southern state she is surely a type of matron that will improve the blood stock of any sectloi tracing as she does to the famous Levity family to which belongs tho present Kentucky Derby favorite Waldo She comes from the noted Kelpie line of this great family which gave tho turf tho celebrated fourmile mare Janet the noted racer Faraday and the successful sire Duke of Montrose
