GOSSIP FROM KENTUCKY TEAINING GROUNDS GROUNDSLouisville Louisville Ky February 22 J BRcspcss who transferred his stallions Dick Welles and Marathon from Ohio to Lexington Ky yesterday plans to I train and race Marathon after he has been united with soaie of the Uespess mares at John I Carrs farm where the Uespess stud is now located Tbe son of Martagou has not raced since the Latouia fall meeting of lltOS The bulk of the Respess stable headed by the Kentucky Derby winner Wintergreen is now quartered at Latonia but will be shipped to Churchill Downs shortly Respess says Wiutergreen Turley and in fact all his horses have wintered well His twoyearolds this season are a promising bunch Trainer T M Kent is coming to Churchill Downs shortly with Mae Hamilton and several youngsters He has a couple of twoyearolds in bis string owned by Dr W B Duke a wealthy physician Of i Riehwood One of them by Migraine is espe ¬ cially promisingW promising W J Young who lias bis big string in training at Douglas Park thinks he never saw a betterlook ins lot of twoyearolds taken all together than ire quartered at Churchill Downs in the stable of F A Forsythe and C L Harrison Not only does he admire the sons and daughters of Broomstick that trainer R Colson has in charge but he regards the Oddfellow and Filigraue youngsters owned by Mr Forsythu as equally promising
