DETAILS OF LEXINGTON RACING Directors of Kentucky Association Decide Upon Pro ¬ gram for Approaching Meeting Lexington Ky March 15 President J N Cam den Secretary G D Wilson and directors Irving H Wheatcroft Matt J Winn John McClintock Over ton IL Clienault and D Gray Falconer of the Ken ¬ tucky Association met here today and formulated plans for the local spring meeting which will open April 30 and continue seven days William II Shel ¬ ley of Louisville was elected racing secretary for the meeting he having performed the duties of that ofiice so acceptably last spring It was decided that there shall be no purse of less than 300 and that there shall be a stake or handicap attraction of dayThe not less than 500 each day The Breeders Futurity for twoyearolds will be mil April SO The Caniden Handicap for threeyear olds at a mile and an eighth a preliminary to tho Kentucky Derby will be decided IMay The Breeders Futurity Consolation will be run IMay 5 and the Caniden Handicap Consolation May 7 tho closing day of the meeting These two races will bo worth 500 each The Phoenix Hotel Handicap and the Lexington Brewing1 Company Handicap each worth T 00 will be decided on May 2 and May G respectively There will he a cup race as the fea ¬ ture for May 4 4The The weights for the Camden Handicap will be an ¬ nounced April 15 and Messrs Lyman H Davis William II Shelley and Thomas 15 Cromwell were appointed handicappingEugene st committee to do the handicapping Eugene Elrod will as at previous meetings since the introduction of the parimutuel system have charge of the betting ring There will be no paid presiding judge The judges will be selected each day from the ranks of the horsemen in attendance The employment of a starter was left to Colonel Winn WinnThe The directors are particularly pleased with the prospects for a successful meeting hero this spring
