HERMETIC, very sluggish at the start, closed up much ground in the final furlong. 1.ICI.IP snowed a great burst of early speed, but tired badly. SENATOR ClLLEN was never a serious contender. The latter was outrun early, but came with a great rush along the inner rail and would have been first in a few more strides. BRIGHTON ran well and ciosed up some ground right at the end. METAPHOR went up in the air at the start and was rushed into early contention, but ran out on the stretch turn and was tiring badly at the eud. GEORGE FIELD rau poorly.
