TRAINING MOVES AT CHURCHILL DOWNS. Louisville. Ky.. April 2fl. — The Derby candidates still quartered at Churchill Downs today were in a measure rested up for tomorrow and Sunday, by which time the track, -which is Improving hourly, will again be fast. Waldo, the Derby favorite. cantered two miles around the inside ring, at 110 time moving faster than at a iwo-iniimte clip. He ap-111 .ired in his usual fine condition and the suppose Hon is that he will go the full Deity route at his best speed Sunday morning in the presence of C. I.. Harrison, his owner, who will come from Lexington to witness the trial. Cailant Pirate was cantered stoutly two miles by trainer Fred I.uzader. and the Wainwright Derby candidate went the last half under double wraps in 53. It was merely a "pipe opener" for tomorrow morning, wneii he will be scut a mile and an eighth with jockey Kennedy up. Charles F. tlrainger did a handy five -eighths and is h.iokcil for a Sunday trial also over the Derbv route. This is a maiden colt that has improved wonderfully and. while lie may be outclassed in the Derby, he is likely to win frequently this year. Cone Kirod. who will have charge of the betting ring at the Kentucky Association track, will run a -pec ial excursion to Lexington tomorrow morning. Many Iiuisvilh- raH*C enthusiasts have signified their intention of goin- to Lexington to witness the oj.e-ning of Kentucky lacing. The special will return to Louisville after the races.
