The Commoner colt. Parmer, mulled after Walter ». Parmer, the Tennessee turfman, and Whaup. worked together. They went a mile and an eighth in 2:o4... The mile was Covered in 1:50. The work was done in the middle of the track, which was due to the fact that Whaup kept bearing out on the turns. Parmer was under slight restraint in the early part. but swerved badly in the tinal eighth. Cinmola. Hies other candidate from the same stable, was sent the Plate distance, one mile and a quarter, in 2:15?. She worked with dimmer ami Noble, and led her older eoinpiiiiiiis all the wav. The mile was cv ered in 1:45. Another candidate for the guineas that Worked well was A. N. Smillies Sandy Kirkwood. He covered the Plate distance in 2:15J. with a small boy in the saddle. Jaaie Shore and Carrie Miln.r were sent a mile and a quarter Saturday mornim.. with Seismic as pacemaker. The latter covered the distance in 2:lt;?. Tollendal. with jockey Musgrave in the saddle, went the distance in 2:17. Jane Share was always in third position, and finished iu about 2:172.
