Fryer, neglected in the betting, closed with a rush and won from Treinargo. Sir John, clearly best in the fifth. wa- away pearly, but Coburn graduallv made up ground and landed his mount winner over Hancock and McNally. Balreala. off Hying, lasted to will the feature race by a narrow margin from Miss Roberts, the pnorlv-handled favorite. Silver Slocking was heavily backed and cantered home in the last race.
