I LOUISVILLES ONE STAKE RACE OF THIS AFTERNOON 1 * The Louisville Handicap is an event of interrupted history. It was first run as far back as 1.895. when it was won by the capital race horse. Henrv Young. The next year It was won by another good racer when F F McLeans Lokl defeated The Commoner and Ren Holladay. Then it was dropped for a year and revived i"u 1888 to fall prev to Cat Dunnes speedy horse. Estaca. Iu 1S99 the Tennessee crack. Rangle. won it with the unluckv Isabev second, and then the race was again abandoned and not reinstated in the Louisville stake list nutil in 1907.
