SARATOGAS RICH PROGRAM ARRAY OF STAKES ALMOST AS VALUABLE AS IN TURFS PROSPEROUS DAYS. Thirteen of the Events Scheduled for Decision During the Twenty-One Days of Coming Meeting at Spa Carry Values of ,000 or More. Four steeplechase stakes offered by the Saratoga Association closed for entries yesterday, being the, Hevcrwvck. Shillelah. North American and Saratoga Steeplechases. This completes the stake program of what will be the finest meeting of the eastern campaign of 1910 — a program almost as rich and varied as any ever offered ill the most prosperous racing years in the past. The meeting will begin Thursday, August 4, with a card that will include the ,000 Plash Stakes, anil the ,500 Saratoga Handicap. Friday the 96,000 Alabama Stakes for tlirce-vear-old fillies will be run. Saturday will bring aliout the running or the ,000 Hurricana Stakes for two-vear-olds, the ,000 Delaware Handicap for three-year-olds and over and the Saratoga Steeplechase. The week beginning August 8 will start off with the running of the ,500 Kentucky Selling Stakes for two-year-old fillies and Tuesday will have the .5oo neneca stakes for three-year-olds. The ,000 1" tilted States Hotel Stakes has been set for Wednesday. Thursday will bring the running of the ,000 Albany Handicap for two-year-olds and the ,000 Chainplain Handicap for three-year-olds and over. Friday will witness the decision of the ,000 Schenectady Selling Stakes for mares and geldings. Saturday has a rich program which includes the Saratoga Special with ,000 added for two-year-olds, the 1910.sh,000 Travels Stakes for three-vear-oldS and the ,200 North American Steeplechase. The next week, beginning Monday, August 15, will have as its Monday feature the decision of the .0oo Mohawk Selling Stakes for ttiree-vear-olilsj and lie followed on Tuesday with the running of the ,000 Spinaway Stakes for t wo-year-old fillies. The ,000 Grand Iniou Hotel Stakes for two-vear-olds is to be disposed of on Wednesday. The Thursday card embraces the ,500 Trov Selling Stakes ttlr two-year-olds and the . HX Saranac Handicap for three-year-olds. The ,500 CatskflJ Selling Stakes for three-year-olds and over will be rim Friday afternoon.
