WORK-OUTS OF EASTERN HORSES. New York. July 12. — Recent work-outs of horses in training at Empire City and Sheepshead Bay were : Empire City — Weather clear: track good. Ardri— Half mile in 53. Shows all his speed. Bell Herat — Half mile in 51. Shows a fair amount of speed and works along nicely. Bobby Bojrer — Halt mile iu 51. A good looker and mover with plenty of ■Peed. Berwick— Half mile iu 52. Was under a stiff pull throughout. Cu Bon— Three-quarters in 1:21. Was under a stiff pull. Cliff Clay— Half mile iu 50. A good looker and mover witii a fine burst of speed. Dalmatian— .Mile in 1:51. Shows all his sliced and now looks to be up to his best form. Kverett — Three -quarters in 1:17. Works along nicely at all times and shows plenty of sliced. HMrn ■ DsVr Three qaartnrn iu 1:19. Was undei a pull throughout. Fitz Herbert— Mile iu 1:49. Has all his speed after a short let-up and looks good. Fauntleroy— Half mile iu 50ji. Shows all his old-time ■peed. Firestone — Mile in 1:47. Has not been asked to ■haw much speed of late. Firewood— Three-eighths in 37. A good-lookiug colt with a fine way of handling himself. Fireman — Half mile in 54. Has not been doing much fast work of late. G. M. Miller— Five-eighths in 1:04. Was under a pull. Huek— Three-quarters in l:18f. Coming arouud nicelv to his best form. Rose Queen — Three-quarters in 1:20. Has been going slowly for some time: now doing nicely. Shannon -Three-quarters in 1:19. Looks good and works well at all times. Sir Raymond — Half mile in 51. A good looker and mover. Archduke — Hnlf mile in 52. Works along with all his speed and is in fine shape. Agnier- Half mile in 53. Coming to hand rapidly ami is a nice looker. Ballot-Mile in 1:58. Looks well. Will race at Saratoga. Rlaekfoot— Thre. -quarters in 1:25. Keeping in trim for Saratoga. Belfast — Three-quarters in 1:18. A grand looker that will improve. Bill. Wells— Half mile in 53.
