BEDWELL RULING UPHELD KENTUCKY STATE RACING COMMISSION GOES EXHAUSTIVELY INTO CASE. Thomas McCreery Restored to Good Standing and Latonia Officials Action in Kay Spence Case Is Overruled on Technical Grounds. Lexington. Thomas 11. McOeery of New York. May Spence of Mexico. Mo., and I. S. Merchant of Chicago wore reatored to good standing, as were the horses owned bjr Mr. Spence. The commission began its session at 11:30 oclock aud rnanjnird at 4:30, daring which time they read the statements of the cases filed by the otlicials of the Latonia Jockey "lull, beard the oral testimony of Mr. Bedwell. which was in effect that he was in no wise responsible for the drugging of the horse Ntnl7.ii. which had to lie excused from a race at batoaiia on Jaty 4 becaaae of his condition, and of K. c. B. lots, who testilied to Mr. Bed wells reputation and ahillty as a trainer: of JitfM Luther, one of Mr. Bcdwclls colored employees, who testilied that a fellow employee named Williams had told him that lie dragged the borae for pay from an outsider: of Mr. McCreery and his fa tiler. James B. McCreery, and of Kay Sjience and S. K. Hughes, who had appeared in his behalf. There were telegrams to the commission from August Belmont. James K. Keene. J.ihu K. Madilen, T. C. McDowell and J. A. Bonnet in liehalf of Mr. McCreery. The Commission then went into executive session, at which it voted unanimously to adopt the following rulings, the one in the Bedwell ease being presented by .1. X. Daingrractd: "The committee, while fully satisfied of the integrity and the conscientious action of the judjros of the Latonia Jockey Clah in their ruling in the case of Kay Spence. owner. J. S.
