LATONIAS STAKE ARRAY BEST RACERS IN TRAINING IN THIS COUNTRY AMONG THE ELIGIBLES. Manager Hachmeister Elated Over Splendid Showing Made and Promising Prospects for Approaching Meeting at the Kenton County Track. Cincinnati, O., September 7. — John Hachmeister, manager of the Latonia track, is elated over the splendid showing made on stake entries for the forthcoming fall meeting at Latonia. in an interview for publication he said: "The character of the owners and the class of horses represented ill the Latonia fall stakes will bear out the statement made some time ago that the racing at Cincinnatis favorite course will be the best that has been seen in this vicinity. The Criterion Handicap, value ,500. another sprinting event at three-quarters of a mile, received forty-one nominations. Such well-known and famous race horses as Jack Atkin, Hanbridge. Ocean Bound, John Griffin II.. Driscilliau. Restigouehe. Rose Queen. Countless. Melisande. Kings Daughter, King Olympian. Mary Davis. Boca Grande and Barleythorpo are among the entries. The Kentucky Handicap, value ,500, at one mile and seventy yards, closed with fifty-three nominations, with horses about the same as in the Inaugural. The Omnium Stakes, handicap, value ,500. at three uasileil of a mile for all ages, is down for tifty-tliree nominations. Among the entries we find the good two-year-olds. Round the World. Love-Not.
