ELIGIBLES TO VALUABLE MATRON STAKES. Following the example of the DODey Island .lockev Club ia the ease of this years Futurity, the West-Chester Baring Association transferred the running of the rich Matron Stakes to Ptaattc* anil in its two divisions it will be decided there on the first day of the Maryland Jockey bibs fall meeting. Saturday. October 15. The Matron is for two-year-olds at thr quarter* of a mile, and is run in two races, om- foi Its and geldings and the other for tillies: 85,000 is added to each race. The net value of the Matron for colts will be close to ,500 and for tillies ..Khi. the latter division not having as many eligibles as the former. Inspection of the following list of entries will disclose the fact that nearly all the cracks that contested the great stakes lor two vcar-ohls at the recent Saratoga i ting are eligible*.
