BERTHA DEAD AT IDLE HOUR FARM New York October 24 George W Langdon has recoived word from E R Bradley that the Donovan mare Dertha is dead at Idle Hour Farm Dertlia was one of the mares Airs Laugdpii shipped to Ken ¬ tucky last year from California She was imported to America by the late Marcus Daly and the late Caesar Young bought her at the dfspcrsal sale of Bitter Root Farm Dertha was the dam of the lilly Ocean Queen and of Bayeriu a twoyearold that won on the Canadian circuit She was carrying a foal by Cuuard when she succumbed to acute indi ¬ gestion
