YEABXINGS IN TRAINING AT LEXINGTON Lexington Ky November 5 The six yearlings bought by Wayne Jopliu at the September sales liavc been broken by James Stevens at the local track aud are galloping along nicely Mr Joplin lias decided to ship them to Jacksonville some time during this month Following is a list of the year ¬ lings Chestnut colt halfbrother to Syzygy by Jean Bcreaud Anna Brooks by Octagon OctagonChestnut Chestnut filly halfsister to Petunia and Dande ¬ lion by Ogdcn Pansy by St Blaisc BlaiscLittle Little Dutch blk c by Nasturtium Dutch Bar ¬ bara by Flying Dutchman DutchmanChestnut Chestnut colt brother to Hermls by Hermerice Katy pf the West by Spendthrift SpendthriftChestnut Chestnut colt by Stalwart Intrepid dam of Nellie G and Sankara by Hindoo HindooBrown Brown filly sister to Lord Elain by Lord Ester ling Kate Elam by Falsetto FalsettoCharles Charles Oxx has decided to take the fiye yearlings lie bought at the September sales aud is now break ¬ ing at the Kentucky Association track to Juarez at the end of the Latouia meeting The youngsters have not advanced to a tryout as yet but they are moving along satisfactorily They are v Brown filly by Orlando Octavo halfsister to Auditor by Octagon OctagonBay Bay or brown colt by Yorkshire Lad Bon Voyage dam Pf Au Revoir by Zorilla ZorillaBay Bay filly by Ornament Lady Hortcuse dam pf Lady ScorpionRoan Ornament by Scorpion Roan filly by Gold Heels Auo by Albert AlbertBay Bay fiily by Blues Lovett dam of Granla by Faraudole F J Kelly a Chicago business man has three promising yearlings of his own breeding at the Ken ¬ tucky Association track Mr Kelly was here during the week to see the ypuugsters tried out and ex ¬ pressed himself as entirely satisfied with what they showed him The chestnut filly by Peep oDay Nellie Ban dam of Frieze by Ben Holladay worked a quarter iu 2 and the bay filly by Knight of the Thistle Grazlella by Alntree and the chest ¬ nut filly by The Scribe Attelle by The Commoner worked in 235 These youngsters are all eligible to the Breeders Futurity to be decided at the local meeting next spring aud Mr Kelly has announced that they will winter here hereA A dozen yearllugs belonging to Wood ford Clay and 8 brother Ezekicl are to come to the Kentucky Association track November 15 to be broken by French Brooks These youngsters would Tiave re ¬ ceived their first lessons ere this but for the fact that they have been the victims of distemper distemperJames James P Ross feels that he has a bargain in the yearling bay filly by Baldur out of Dunluce by Fonso she out of the dam of Bauuockburn which lie bought out of the September sale here for 100 At the first aud only asking she showed me an eighth in 125 with a greeu boy up said Mr Ross She has the lucky gray leg and as the darkeys eay she is all manners The only other horses Mr Boss has liere are Tender Heart and Miss Mapleton Tender Heart is to run out until next spring aud Miss Mapleton is being prepared for crpsscpuntry purposes for a member of a hunt club In Pennsylvania Mr Ross has not decided where lie will send the horses Will McDaniel is racing for him at Latonia Will and I have about come to the conclusion that if they do not rim better than they have this fall it will be useless to send them anywhere for racing said lie lieWhen When J O Keene left here for Oakland last week he took eleven of Johusou N Camdens yearlings with him and left fifteen those that had shown the most satisfactory trials at the Kentucky Associa ¬ tion course They were sent to Mr Camdens Hart land Stud Farm iu Woodford County last Monday to be turned out until next spring when Mr Keeue will come back from California and take them up The upThe halfbrother to G M Miller a bay colt by St Lawrence out of Subdue bred and owned by Hart Brown looks promising He was broken by John Rodegap who turned him over to S K Hughes when he left here for the fall meeting at Louis ¬ ville A few days ago the youngster ran a quarter impressively in 2j for Mr Hughes and he has been turned out at the farm pf his owner uutil spring springJames James H Reed steward of the Eastern Kentucky Insane Asylum has purchased Princelike from T C McDowell and will send him to Jacksonville to be raced this winter
