TAMPA HAS A DISQUALIFICATION. Tampa. Fla.. January 12. The fust disqualification of the meeting came with the running of the opening dash this afternoon, when Melzar. which finished second, was set back to last place for fouling C. A. Leimau iu the final sixteenth of the stretch run. The displacement of Melzar gave second place to Cull Holland and third money to Nora Emma, which bad originally finished fourth. Decided improvement in patronage was noted during the ilay and the meeting has about settled Into a routine swing, with prospects for a steady increase of business. Tony W. scored his fourth victory during the afternoon. He was at a prohibitive price. The finish iu the two-year-old race was a thriller. It also introduced in Little Dutch a likely youngster. 1 W Shields will ship some two-year-olds here from Jacksonville in charge of his brother John. Jockey F. Lewis suffered a fractured shoulder as a result of a fall while schooling Jack Baker over the hurdles this morning. Jockey Ralph was suspended for one week by the judges for rough riding in the opening race. Owner Ed Corrigan suffered the loss of one of his horses tills morning when Jim Halpin died.
