JUAREZ RACING TO BE RESUMED TODAY. Situation Improves to Such An Extent that No Further Interruption" Is Anticipated. HI Paso, Tex., February 0. Col. Matt J. Winn announced this morning that racing at Terrazas Park would be resumed tomorrow, and, provided the situation did not grow worse, that the meeting would continue without further interruption till the close of the season. Yesterdays program was declared off and a new card was made up today for decision -tomorrow. The insurgents that have been threatening Juarez are reported to have withdrawn to a considerable distance, following the arrival of reinforcements for the Federal garrison at Juarez last night. Further reinforcements are expected and the opinion prevails that danger of an attack on the town has passed for the present. It is probable Jack Atkin will do more racing until the Louisville spring meeting, as a let-up in his training has become necessary, owing to the spreading of a foot iu his work several days ago. Trainer Whalcn regrets the mishap, as lie figured on winning a stake or two here this mouth with the big sou of Sain, which has been training in grand form and looked as he would be as good as ever. Trainer Wayne Lewis, on behalf of G. W. J. Bissell, has re-purchased the four-year-old Laveno, the three-year-old Southern Light and the two-year-old Lady Dolora from William Simms. who bought them at the sale of the Bissell stable here last week. The re-purchasing of these three horses will cause Mr. Lewis to remain at Juarez anil he will not go to Kentucky until March. He may not race Southern Light again liefore the Kentucky season of racing begins, but he will try to win a race or two here before the season ends with Laveno and Lady Dolora,- as each is in good racing trim.
