NIBLICK WINS RACE AND WILL BE RETIRED. Tampa, Fla., February 0. The run-up of Gran-dissimo and the claiming -of Billy Bodemer in the third race enlivened proceedings here this afternoon. Grandissimo was bid up 05 over his entered price of 00, but was retained. Billy Bodeiner went to C. N. Freeman, who was represented in the race by Cull Holland. Previous to the running of the race B. Stephens had lwught Billy Bodemer for the reported price of 00. The figure at which. Mr. Freeman got him was 10. Niblick joined the discards by a victory in the Hunts Purso. Cherokee Rose was the only pronounced choice to get home first during the afternoon. Jockey Koerner will finish the season at Jacksonville. H. B. Reether shipped The . Moat and Catherine Hampson to Jacksonville this morning. Mrs. AL L. Brittous Montagnio went with the same consignment. .Smith, Colby and Jones are conservative managers, have announced that they will continue the racing here until April 1. at least, and that it may go on until April 20 if conditions jvarrant. There is still talk of returning to Pensacola for a brief meeting of probably fifteen days duration, but if supinirt here continues good, there will be no return to Pensacola. General Manager Strode has announced that in view of the success attending ladies day, two of these occasions will be provided for weekly. It is intended to have a race for gentlemen riders eaeli Friday and the system of rewarding the lucky rider witli the winner of the Hunts purse will continue.
