GEN. WOOD SEEKS THOROUGHBRED FOALS. New York. March 17. Gen. Leonard Wood, who Is at the head of the United States Army, has requested the Jockey Club to give him all particulars about its breeding bureau and the location of all the foals that have been raised during the last three years, so that they can be looked over and purchased for service. At the present time 1.000 foals have been reported to the bureau, ranging from weanlings to three-year-olds. General Wood discloses the fact that he has made arrangements to examine all the foals which have been reported to the Canadian Jtrecding Bureau for the same purine,
