T. C. MDOWELLS CRACK JUVENILE. Louisville. Ky.. May 24. -T. C. McDowell tikes a pardonable priilc in liis unbeaten two year old. lie Manager, with which In- recently won the Breeders1 Futurit] ii Lexington. He is quoted as saying that The Manager is tin- best two-year-old he ever ii. lined. Mr. McDowell did inn enter the eoll tor races here this spring for the reason that he thought Hi it tin- son of Voter and Bracegirdie would not be ai his best. He had entered all his heal mares in the Breeders Futurity at Lexington, and as Tin- Manager was thus eligible he sent him to the post in that event. The colt came to hand earlier than expected and now Mr. McDowell regrets thai he did not nominate him for the Bashford Manor and other stakes here. The colt has some engagements at Latonia. including the rich Cincinnati Trophy, and if the New York tracks open this season he will be in the swim, as he is in the Futurity at Sheepsliead Bay and the important two-year-old stakes at Saratoga. In 1912. as a three-year-old, he will be eligible to the Kentucky Derby and Lawrence Boalization Stakes. Bracegirdie. dam of The Manager, lias a yearling Mly by Star Ruby ami a suckling colt by Ben Brush. She was mated this season with Plaudit.
