MUDDY GOING PREVAILS AT LAGOON. Salt Lake City. Utah. June 14.— Frequent showers at race time affected the attendance at Lagoon to M dav. Owing to the sticky condition of the track forssfj players were somewhat at sea in the selecting ot U winners, and only two of their choices scored. Races of the ordinary Variety were down for decision, but as the Betds were evenly balanced good contention was expected. The appearance of Sevcnfiill in the third race, at five and one-half furlongs, excited tie-greatest interest, it being her first appearance in two years. She ruled a strong favorite, hut she was apparently far from ready, as she quit badly after running a good half. Vmir. from the Berry stable, made a show of his opposition in the two vear old allowance race, at four and one-half fur longs, getting away to a flying start and pulling up to bis field at the finish.
