MINOR RACING IN THE EAST. There will be considerable racing of a minor character in West Virginia, Pennsylvania and Ohio the I coming fall. The West Virginia Fair Association, whose meeting is scheduled for September 4-8 at WJieeling. will devote Labor Day exclusively to races * for thoroughbreds and will put on seven races with 1 purses ranging in value from 50 to 00. In addition to this program, six running races will be given 1 through the week. Pr-vioiis to the Whet ling meeting, there will be running races at Erie. Pa.. Oorry, Ia.. Titusville. Pa., Bradford, Pa.. Akron. O.. Con neault Lake. Pa. and Canton. O. Following the Wheeling meeting, will come racing at Fairmouut. Clarksburg and Parkerslmrt*. W. Va. This is a new departure for the racing associations involved.
