DILATORY closed a gap steadily and moved away into a clear lead in the stretch, but had to be driven hard at the end. PATRUCHE, much the best, was away slowly and was forced to go wide throughout, but closed a great gap and almost got up to win. GEORGE OXNARD ran forwardly throughout, but tired in the stretch. CASEY JONES was prominent all the way and will improve. INCITER quit after setting the pace to the stretch. SKILLUTE showed speed, but tired. Overweights Creme de Menthe. 1 pound. LUCKY MOSE moved into prominence on the turn and tired in the last furlong. M. CAMBON Buffered from much interference and ran in the worst going. IRISH KID showed speed, but quit.
