CHRY-SEIS quickly rushed to the front and, drawing away into an easy lead, was rated along in trout under slight restraint and won in a canter. CALIPH ran in. closest pursuit, but could never get up and had to be ridden out to outstay SURFEIT. The latter broke well, but was always outpaced by the first two. . The latter showed much speed and took a good lead in the last mile, but tired in the last furlong and stumbled a couple of times in the last sixteenth. BLACK BRIDGE easily disposed of the others. The latter was much used in following the early pacemaker and tired after disposing of liim, but finished gamely. JUDGE MONCIC closed a big gap and finished with a good burst of speed.
