HITCHCOCKS YEARLINGS GO EAST. Lexington, Ky.. December G. Jack Dougherty v left here today for Aiken, S. C, in charge of ten n thoroughbred yearlings belonging to Thomas Hitchcock, i Jr.. of Wostbury, L. I. These yearlings were n all bred by Mr. Hitchcock and were foaled and liave been reared at H. P. Headleys Beaumont Farm n " near this city. They aro a uniformly good-looking lot of individuals and are to be broken and trained 3 by Mr. Hitchcock himself. The list is as follows: Bay colt, by Yankee Barlngo sister to Jeff Bernstein, by Orlando. Bay colt, by Yankee Campo dam of Savannah, by Hastings. , Chestnut filly, by Yankee Fondness by Henry of Navarre. . .. Bay filly, by Migrane Rapine, by Macaroon. Brown colt, by Migrane Sister Stella, by Sir Dixon. , Chestnut filly, by Ogden Caoutchouc, by Galore. Brown colt, by Ogden Ellie Wolf, by Wolfs Craig. Bay colt, by The Scribe The Rose, by Miser. Fred A. Forsythe, master of Fountain Blue Stud In Mercer County and the directing head of the racing firm of China and Forsythe, is being much discussed hereabouts as likely to succeed Major Foxhall A. Daingerfleld as a member of tlie Kentucky State Racing Cbminisslbrij It being understood! that the veteran manager of Castleton Stud will resign next month to remove with his family to Virginia. In the opinion of many turfmen Mr. Forsvthe would make a capable and acceptable member of the commission. He is vigorous, progressive and experienced in every department of racing, having at the present time a stud of thirty-five splendidly bred mares, headed by the stallions Out of Reach and Dorante.
