DANNY MAKERS RECORD IN ENGLAND. This year, for the first time since 1003, in which season he was the victim of an accident, Danny Maher, the noted American jockey, has failed to achieve the distinction of leading the jockeys of the English turf in the important item of winning percentage. This distinction is one that had fallen to the popular American rider in all other years since his initial appearance on the English turf upon his arrival from the United States in September, 1900. Danny Mahers Tecord forms an important chapter of race riding in England. There may have been others whose careers were more meteoric, but it is generally conceded that none lias more worthily earned the reputation of being a great and skilful jockey than Danny Maher.
