Two stakes are set for derision during the opening week, Including the Inaugural Handicap with a guaranteed value of ,300 and the St. John Hotel Stakes, value ,000. Announce men! was made today by Racing Secretary Gerhardy that acceptances of two-year-old entries will not be had unless owners secure notice ■ from the Jockey club that the names claimed have bar*, approved. every train continues to bring here large delegations of horsemen who intend to take part in the coming meeting and. unless reservations have been 1 made, late comers arc finding it difficult to si cure desired accommodations at short notice.
