The news that the King will witness the race for j the Grand National Steeplechase has given genuine pleasure to all sportsmen, and the work of levelling the pathway round the outside of the Aintree course from Mellin road to Anchor Bridge so that his Majesty can drive round and see the fences is very : nearly completed.
