MONTREAL STAKES WELL PATRONIZED Montreal Quo May 2 The stakes to be raced for during the spring meeting of the Montreal Jockev Club from Saturday June 1 to Saturday June S inclusive closed on Monday Word was re ¬ ceived from Joseph MeLemiaii who was looking after the Interests of the club at Baltimore that they had filled remarkably well He received one hundred en ¬ tries from thirtyfive nominators These with those already received by mail runs the total up to one hundred and fifty entries from forty nominators whieh means an average of thirty to the five stakes scheduled Kentucky New York Toronto and other points are still to be heard from which will bring the total far beyond that of a year ago
