NADZU TAKES PURSE AT ALAN Spokane Wash May 31 Only two favorites scored at Alan this afternoon but the races fur ¬ nished plenty of excitement as the finishes were all close Nadzn won the mile race which was run to suit him Daddy GIp and Lieut Sawyer were both under restraint for the first threequarters and when Hoffman called on the former in the stretch he failed to respond Gross allowed Lient Sawyer tf go extremely wide throughout the final quarter Nadzn finished on the rail railWhldden Whldden favorite in tin fifth was far back In the early part of the raco but rushed up on the far turn then faltered but came once more in the stretch with a tremendous rush rushEye Eye White scored a lucky win in the sixth Wh n the leaders turned into the stretch thV all rail wide while Eye White kept close to the rail and thereby scored Eye White was bid up 200 by W S Heath but retained by W II Fizer
