C L HARRISON DIES IN NEW YORK New York September IS Charles L Harrison best known as the owner of Waldo died last Satur ¬ day at Dr Bulls Sanitarium in Thirtythird street this city Funeral services were held on Monday at the Church of the Transfiguration Mr Harrison had been critically ill for only a few days The cause of death was heart trouble troubleMr Mr Harrison who was a prominent civil engineer owned a large cattle ranch in Texas He was an ardent devotee of racing and a close student of blood lines linesIn In 1909 Waldo carrying Mr Harrisons colors won the Flatbush Juvenile Laureate Manhasser Saratoga Special and the Tremont Stakes He was declared by many competent judges to be the colt of the year and several tempting offers for Him were refused by Mr Harrison He went wrong as a threeyearold on the eve of the running of the Kentucky Derby for which he was favorite favoriteAt At the time of his death Mr Harrison was the owner of Winning Witch Bonanza Tyree and Red Rose which horses are in training in Kentucky He also owned several broodmares
