MINERAL SPRINGS TRAIN SCHEDULES Arrangements have been made with the railroads for train service from Chicago to the Mineral Springs Jockey Clubs new track at Porter Ind and the schedule has been announced The first race train is scheduled to leave Chicago over the Lake Shore railroad at 12 oclock noon each day of racing Other special race trains will follow at 1217 1232 1245 and 108 A schedule also has been arranged for the Calumet district for trail service over the Michigan Central road Tills race train will leave Kensington station at 1240 with stops at Hammond and Gary only The Chicago trains will not stop at Gary the only stops being at South Chicago and Englewood stations The running time from the LaSallc street station to Mineral Springs has been fixed at one hour The first train returning will leave Mineral Springs at 440 p m and there will be other trains to accommodate the crowds after the races are finished Extra trains on the South Shore Electric Railroad will make stops at the Mineral Springs station from which motor busses will carry patrons to the grandstand Motor busses will also operate at fre ¬ quent intervals between the towns of Porter and Chesterton and the main pate of the new race track trackAs As previously announced the admission including railroad fare from Chicago and return will be 2 The admission fee at the gate for those who do not use the railroad will be 150 150Starter Starter Richard Dwyer returned yesterday from Louisville well satisfied with the result of his mis ¬ sion there in the interest of the new track Ho reports having obtained promises from various own ¬ ers covering the shipment of 100 horses here Mr Dwyer will devote the remaining time prior to tho onpning of the new course to assisting A F Knotts in getting the plant in condition for the opening
