, , , ; NO STARS IN THE SCHREIBER STABLE LAST YEAR + + Considering very dissimilar results for a number of years past, it really reads curiously to liml Barney Sclirefber credited with but ,652 in stable earnings from a years racing. Yet that was his record for 1912 and it probably was his least annual return from racing in any one year of the last twenty. The prime reason for this stale of affaiis is that he raced but few horses and these did not turn out to be vf any great account. The three year olds, lames Pockety and Judge Sale, did best for htm and were disposed of to other owner- alter each had won something more than Sl.tHH for him. Sager is naturally a good race horse, but liis legs are - infirm that he could m«t be trained so thai lie could race effectively and so could account for but one purse race. Evidently another Doctor Gardner, Jack Atkin or Nealoa would now lie decidedly acceptable to the Missouri breeder and turfman and tbediseoeery of one such among the youngsters on his Sedalia farm would e a fortunate circumstance.
