3UPERL IS STAKE WINNER FILLY FROM R. J. MACKENZIES STABLE TAKES FIRST JUVENILE STAKE OF 1913. Whirlwind Rush in Final Part of Race Enables Her to Beat Aunt Mamie and Ida Lavinia, F. D. Aunt Mamie and Ida Lavinia. running coupled as an entry from the stable of Frank O. Weir, ruled first cboicei and finished second aud third respectively. Ida Lavinia led her stableasate into the stretch and it looked as if they would he tirst and second, but Soneri, from the stable of K. J. Mackenzie, camo like a whirlwind in the final liuudred yards anil took the stakes. Jockey H. 97, Carroll had an ankle badly bruised. at the start of the stake race When Yip Hy-Y.i bolted from the inner to the outer rail. He had to cancel his engagements for the remainder of the day. Jockey Gentry was suspended for five days by the stewards for rough riding 0,1 tjuld Nunc in the tir-t race. J. V. Murphy, the trainer of Zoroaster, bid up Melton Street, the winner of the sixth race, from 9990 to ,200. but the horsi was protected by trainer Adkins of the Mackenzie stable.
