AN ADDITION TO EASTERN OWNERS OWNERSNew New York April 14 L S Thompson whose col ¬ ors have not Inen seen on tho race course since the dissolution of the linn of L S W P Thompson in 1S97 has decided to return to the turf as an owner with the coming revival of tho sport The old colors green red sleeves and cap have been registered with the Jockey Club These colors vro tirst made famous by W P Thompson father of their present owner who raced under the name of the Brookdalo Stable It was Thompson the older who owmd the Brmikdale Farm near Ked Bank where Harry Payne Whitney now has his extensive American stud It was from that farm that Mr Thompson sent Requital winner of tho Lawrence Realization of 1S9G The stable was continued only one year after the death of W P Thompson but in that year its colors were carried to victory in tho runninu of the Futurity the most coveted of twoyearold races by LAlonette LAlonetteWith With the revival of tho Thomson colors it is in ¬ tended that the horses shall bo chosen front Brook dale and selections will bo Inade from among the Whitney horses
