ACCEPTS PARIMUTUEL ORDER Baltimore Md May 7 The Arlington Jockey Club is going ahead with plans to launch its spring race meeting at Electric Iark the day after the present meeting at Pimlico closes May 22 The management has decided to comply with the ruling of the Baltimore County Uacing Commission that betting in the county must be under the parimutnol system systemArrangements Arrangements have been completed for the In ¬ stallation of a sufficient number of mutuel machines When it was first announced by the commission that the French style of wagering must prevail the pro ¬ moters of the Belvidore avenue track were some ¬ what alarmed but after seeing how popular the new mode of betting has become they now believe that success can be achieved witli the machines at Electric Iark IarkThe The plant is being worked into condition for the opening A number of changes have been made since the meeting held there last year and the old casino which long stood on the infield has been taken away thus affording the spectators a clear view of the horses at all times and the track has been made safer by the widening of the turns The betting ring has been enlarged too A large number of thoroughbreds have been assured for the meeting A considerable number of stables will remain here for the six days of the siwrt nt Electric Park before shipping to Canada for racing over thu halfmile tracks
