ALCHEMISTS JOCKEY GOES TO SLEEP Spokane Wash May 22 Pleasant weather pre ¬ vailed today It being ladies day there was a large attendance at Alan this afternoon The card was lacking in quality but the majority of the races fur ¬ nished stirring contests The closest finish of tlla day came with the running of the opening race when Bezanson on Xool stole the race away from the overcontident Molesworth on Alchemist AlchemistOrange Orange Blossom a firsttime starter here accounted for the allowance race at live furlongs in impressive fashion She is locallyowned and has a great many admirers here From a time standpoint considering that tho track is not at Its Injst her performance was a good one Delaney ruled favorite and lie can rightfully be termed the most unfortunate horse racing at this track as he has met with more inter ¬ ference in all his starts than any other horse iiere He was repeatedly Interfered with today and lin ¬ ished like a lion lionJ J Sears of Spokane and Guy Gray had an alterca ¬ tion in the betting ring today Sears was the ag ¬ gressor and the Judys ruled that he be dental admission to the course while Gray was disciplines by being denied the privileges of the betting ring for one week
