GOSSIP FROM BLUE GRASS REGION Lexington Ky May 31 G T Bissell has purchased two yearlings by McGoe from Charles W Moon a bav colt out of Little Whit dan of C mn terpart and a bay filly out if the Governess dam of The Lady Roiiesia It apears that W J Trcacy of the Kentucky Sales Company was acting for John E Madden when he bought those fifteen yearlings from August Belmont n few days ago From Canada comes tin Informa ¬ tion that Mr Madden lias sold the Fair Play Orienta tilly the Singleton St Acnes tilly NK Singleton Lady Madge filly and Singleton Lady KIIVOII filly to James A Thompson of Hamilton Ont and they were in the lot sold by Mr Belmont to Treaty TreatyJames James 15 Haggins famous producing thoroughbred broodmare Pearl V ibv Sulvator Firenze is dead at Elmendorf Farm She died foaling a brother to Water Pearl and Pearl Diver the latter now a good long distance horse in England by Water ¬ cress The foal survived and is being suckled by a shire mare Hamburg I5elle has a bay filly by AVaterlHjy Princess Noretti owned by the late John Mackey is the only thoroughbred mare yet to foal at Elmendorf Her foal will be a brother or sister to Prince Gal by Galveston The Ilaggin yearlings will leave for Slicepshead ISay on June 12
