RACING GOSSIP FROM KENTUCKY Louisville Ky June 7 A majority of the stables that have been racing at Douglas Park will be quartered at Latonia by Monday including the strings of A L Aste A Baker E R Bradley J C Calm J N Camden R Colston W W Dar den II II Enimous Grefer Bender J M Goode T P Hayes II H Hewitt Lew Marion A P Lowe James MacManns R J Mackenzie T 0 McDowell K E McCargo R P Marshall J B Rcspess D W Scott C Woodford W G Yanke Adair Baker W F Cisco F K Brown Doer boefer West W L Lewis G M Hendrie A P Humphrey Jr George J Long J F Newman Son J Schreibcr James S Kverman W J Young Clay Bros II Beuzinger Ilickey Cloher Howard Oots W F Schulte A I Steele F I Weir J C Milam and Weber Ward Some few stables will remain here for a week or ten days and then go n for the windup at the Kenton County track trackAll All the prominent jooJeys now riding at Douglas Park will go on to Latonia These include K Martin M Bnxton C Borel J McCabe K Taplln F Tcahan J Callahan J Kcderls C Gross C Peak J Henry J McDonald R Goose C Ganz J Loftus W French B Steele W Andress and K Neylon NeylonThe The first race each day at Latonia will be called at 2tO p m One of the special rules that will be enforced during the meeting is that in stake races the post positions of all will be redetermined by lot by the judges in the event of tin added starter starterThco Thco Abadlc has IIOIKS of winning a race r two during the coming Latonia meeting with his selling plater Tom King which is now doing fairly well in training This horse has been so sore fyr nearly a year that he absolutely will not try to run on anything but a soft track Abadic hopes to pick up a good horse or two this summer for the fall meetings and if he cannot secure anything to suit him lu tills lino he will break into tho yearling market next fall and endeavor to develop some youngsters of quality qualityAnother Another horse that has been out of racing for sometime and Is likely to come back into good rii ing form again is Rocky OBrien In J Calms string Calm lias worked him several times lately and lie has pulled up in sound condition conditionPhil Phil Hymns Granite probably will race in th early part of the Latouia meeting Granite lias recently shown no sign of lameness or soreness though he has not as yet been set down to anything like his limit When in condition Granite has us much speed as any horse in training and if Hymns gets him to the barrier just right at Latonia he will lx a hard horse to beat In the sprinting races racesPraetorian Praetorian which has been racing at Douglas Park and Churchill Downs In winning form was a gift horse J N Camden presenting him to S C Nuckols Jr his present owner This1 fouryearold was worked by trainer J 0 Keene last spring with Wheelwright both being Derby candidates and while Praetorian beat Wheelwright in that trial he pulled up seemingly completely broken down It was then that Mr Camden presented him to young Niikkris thinking his friend could use him for u saddle horse
