MORE HORSES REACH WINDSOR Detroit Mich July S Thirtythree head t horses from Latonia were added Monday to the thor oughhrod colony now assuming large proportions at the Windsor Jockey Clubs track trackJ J C Milams stable Including the wellknown sprinter Merrick Morristown Maud 15 L Star of Danube and three others P Sheridans string in ¬ cluding Harbard Back Hay and three others William Gersts string of eight C Cochcls string of four and Howard Oots Cousin Puss and four others arrived here in two horse cars from the Kentucky track trackSecretary Secretary Partner who has arrived here from Ids Kdenwold Stock Farm to supervise the proper housing of his fifteen yearlings which arrived at Windsor on Saturday says that at least fifty more horses will be shipped here from Latouia before the end of the week weekThis This contingent together with the racers which will be shipped to Windsor on Saturday from Fort Erie will easily provide 450 horses for the sport that begins next week weekI I dont know when the Frontier Stake has ever before presented such an open proposition so far as picking the probable winner as is now the case observe Mr Partner in discussing the outlook for the opening fixture to be decided at Widsor July 1C 1CThe The Frontier field is sure to be of splendid pro ¬ portions and the horses engaging in the race will be as well matched as have gone to the post in any other stake this season It is a surety that in no other event thus far decided this season lias the class prevailed that we shall see in the leading race on the opening day of our first summer meet ¬ ing with such probabilities as Horron Great Brit ¬ ain Uifle Brigade Plate Glass First Sight Kingly Leochares Buskin and High Private These horses represent the best of the handicap division to be found anywhere and a great race should result resultThe The physical condition of the Widsor plant was never EO good as is the case today Miles In 139 and better might now be reeled off by the stars with ease 1 believe that the track record for a mile and an eighth will be lowered on the opening day
