WHISK BROOM II FOR ENDURANCE RACE New York July 19 Harry Payne Whitneys i great horse Whisk Broom II will be sent to Kentucky to race in the Kentucky Endurance Stakes next October The big winner of the Metro ¬ politan Brooklyn and Suburban handicaps and holder of the worlds record of 200 for one mile and a quarter will be nble to start in the En ¬ durance Stakes under 122 pounds This is much less than the 139 pounds he carried in the Suburb ¬ an when he mad his marvellous record and as he is so easily placed in his racing he will doubt less last the long trying journey His presence will add interest to the western fourmile con ¬ test of course At this time H II Emmons good fouryearold Hudolfo seems to be the most likely of the contenders that will oppose Mr Whitneys cham ¬ pion but under the conditions of the running bu will have to shoulder 122 pounds himself himselfIt It is not at all extravagant to predict that If Whisk Broom II goes to tin jxist tit there will be a new mark for the fourmile route Tin record I now belli by Mrs L A Livingstons Solemla winner of the raw last season She ran the distance In 710 under 119 pounds
