the rail in the last sixteenth and lost enough ground to lose the race STAR ORYAX ran in closest pursuit from the start and but for swerving in the last sixteenth would probably have won JAWBONE made end BRUMLEY showed the most speed to the stretch but was put against the feiicc when DEFENDUM went into the lead aud had to be pulled up to prevent falling STARS AND STRIPES had uo mishaps
