DISTINGUISHED FRENCH TURFMAN DIES. The death is announced of the Due do Fezeusac. who has been Intimately connected with racing for many years past, for though he withdrew from all active participation in turf matters some years ago, lie was a frequent spectator of most of the important events decided nt Longchamps. He was elected a member of the Race Committee of the French Jockey Club in 1S75 and took his place among the most authoritative members of the turf senate. He shared at one time the fortunes as owner of the Due do Fltz-James, but his health was undermined by the grief he experienced at the death of his wife, the Duchess de Fczenac, from which he never absolutely rallied. At the death of the Due de DondeativlIIe he was elected to the presidency of the Jockey Club, but he did not live long enough to enjoy tin- honor offered him by his colleagues, for he passed away last Tuesday morning, Septemlier 30, inticli regretted by all who had approached him and been able to appreciate ids loyal and generous I qualities.
