DORVALS 0,000 DERBY ATTRACTS ENTRIES. Montreal, Que., October 17. Manager S. X. Hol-inan. of the Dorval Park Jockey Club, has returned 1 from a short visit to New York In the interest of the closing of the entries for the 0,000 International Derby to be run at Dorval next summer. He ; brought back promises of entries from the majority of the largest as well as some smaller racing stables and there Is every assurance that the stake will I bring together the best of the three-year-olds of next season. Judge Joseph A. Murphy, Sheridan Clark and James Milton will look after entries at the eastern 1 tracks. Capt. T. J. Clay and W. W. Lyles will look-after the interests of the stake in Kentucky. Seventeen entries have already been received. Manager Ilolman will now devote his attention to 1 improvements at .the track. The two turns have : been well banked since the inaugural meeting, while the stretches have been redressed. It is the idea of the management to form a social club in connection witli tin; Jockey Club, and a clubhouse will be built for the spring meeting. A nine hole golf course will be laid out in the inlield.
