PRISCILLIANS CAREER AT AN END. Italtimore, Md., November 5. August Belmonts Prlscllllan, which raced witli signal success 011 both sides of the Atlantic, is dead. While being shipped from Saratoga he sustained an injury from which blood poisoning developed and it was found necessarv to destroy him. Priseillian was a chestnut gelding by Hastings St. Priscllla, foaled in 1!ii5, and was not sent to the post until a three-year-old. He rapidly proved himself one of the best handicap horses iii training and was sent to England with other of the Belmont horses. After his return to this country, he won frequently until this l ueason, when he would not stand training.
